  • Drug Reform Coordination Network provides education and coordination on drug policy issues.www.drcnet.org Supports the largest online drug library (www.druglibrary.org) and a subscriber's weekly news summary, the Week Online.
  • DrugSense www.drugsense.org produces a weekly news summary and through its Media Awareness Project, archives a vast collection of news stories on drug issues (www.mapinc.org/drugnews/) Provides online networking and other support for state reform organizations.

  • Families Against Mandatory Minimums works to abolish harsh and unjust mandatory sentencing laws and restore judicial discretion to fit the punishment to the crime. www.famm.org
  • The Harm Reduction Coalition. Educational events and materials to reduce drug-related harm and promote individual and community health. www.harmreduction.org

  • Human Rights Watch monitors human rights abuses related to drug policy. www.hrw.org
  • Drug Policy Alliance Addresses the entire array of drug policy issues with a focus on harm reduction. www.drugpolicy.org
  • Mothers Against Misuse and Abuse addresses the complex issues of drug use, misuse, and abuse with an emphasis on personal responsibility and informed decision making, with respect for human dignity. www.mamas.org
  • The Media Awareness Project is an Internet-based participatory organization focusing on letters to the editor and tracking news coverage of drug policy. www.mapinc.org
  • National Advocates for Pregnant Women focuses on the rights of pregnant women, thus broadening and strengthening the reproductive justice, drug policy reform, and other interconnected social justice movements in America today. www.advocatesforpregnantwomen.org
  • The National Association of Methadone Advocates works for greater availability and acceptance of methadone as an addiction treatment. www.methadone.org

  • The National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) is the oldest reform organization, focusing on legalization of marijuana. www.norml.org
  • The November Coalition is a growing body of citizens who are prisoners, their loved ones, and others who believe that a war on drugs is a war on people. Produces The Razor Wire newspaper. www.november.org
  • The Rebecca Project for Human Rights strives to provide up-to-date research and policy resources for the public, policy makers, administrators, journalists and others who want to learn more about the issues vulnerable families face. http://www.rebeccaproject.org
  • The Partnership for Responsible Drug Information is an association of professionals, including attorneys, physicians, biochemists, economists, accountants, sociologists, psychologists, and business leaders. www.PRDI.org
  • Schaffer Library of Drug Policy---complete online text of most major literature on drugs and drug policy
  • Students for Sensible Drug Policy. Believes that current US drug policies are harmful and ineffective. Committed to providing education on harm caused by current policies, working to involve youth in the political process, and promoting an open, rational discussion of alternatives to current drug policies. www.ssdp.org
